The Conference Centre has undergone a significant technical revamp to enhance the event experience and to allow organisers to hold virtual and hybrid events on site. Guests can now stream conferences from any meeting room using newly installed state-of-the-art equipment, enabling them to connect with audiences both locally and further afield.
With brand new HD projectors, 4K interactive display screens and a wireless presentation system, event organisers will be able to seamlessly stream content to an audience with the option to combine live broadcasts, pre-recorded sessions and on-demand content.
The meeting rooms now feature an integrated Microsoft Teams system, with steerable PTZ camera’s delegates can connect with colleagues remotely through Teams-based meetings and presentations, allowing further opportunities for hybrid ways of working. Digital signage has also been installed throughout the conference centre to increase branding opportunities and to allow remote content management, delivering a polished event experience.
We recently announced the launch of our new broadcast studio, with high-definition screens and a 4K camera set up, the studio has since enabled event organisers to continue hosting engaging events in line with government regulations.
Marie Claire Galea, Event Sales Manager here at the Science and Industry Museum, says: “AV has become a vital part of any meeting room, technical requirements have evolved with developments in technology and since the pandemic we are seeing an increased demand for hybrid events. The new investments in our AV equipment will encourage clients to push the boundaries of their events and enable them to reach a wider audience.”
“The conference centre is a popular option for events due to its unique location and we expect that the investment will continue to allow our corporate clients to host innovative and engaging events whilst adapting to new hybrid ways of working.”
