Hire our new event space: Special Exhibitions Gallery!

Our spectacular new Special Exhibitions Gallery is complete and ready to host events!

Built in 1882, the 725 square metre space was originally built to provide storage for the Great Western Railway. The lower ground floor of the museum’s grade II listed New Warehouse has since been transformed into a flexible gallery, which opened in Spring 2021. It is the first time this striking historical space has been open to the public and available for hire.

The gallery can accommodate up to 100 guests and is the perfect space for pre-dinner drink receptions or post-conference drinks. Guests will be able to explore some of the world’s best science exhibitions, which will be originated and hosted in the gallery, whilst enjoying the grand industrial space.

The Special Exhibitions Gallery is available to hire independently, or in conjunction with another gallery suitable for seated dining.
